Origin3 Ltd

Associate Urban Designer

ASSOCIATE URBAN DESIGNER

(Full time, Permanent)

ABOUT US

Origin3 is a Bristol-based collective of professionals creating thriving new places and urban regenerations. Our multi-disciplinary approach enables us to successfully plan, design and deliver development ranging from a single dwelling to an urban extension or a high-density inner-city regeneration.

Regardless of the project’s size and magnitude our approach, at every stage of the development process, is to share and test ideas to discover successful planning strategies and design solutions. Projects will then emerge out of a careful analysis of context and how contemporary urban life constantly evolves, with outcomes addressing sustainability, viability, urbanisation, local culture and infrastructure delivery.

To thrive in the role, you will have:

– A relevant degree (or equivalent), MA/MSc in Urban Design, Regeneration or Planning.

– A minimum of 10 years experience working on large-scale UK residential and mixed-use development masterplans in an Urban Design or Masterplanning role.

-Expertise in AutoDesk software and 3D Modelling (SketchUp or similar).

-Competence in Adobe Creative Suite.

-Comprehensive knowledge of both public and private sector residential markets.

-Excellent hand drawing and presentation skills.

-Be confident and skilled in project delivery, and flourish in building client relationships in a front-facing role.

-Great project management and time management skills, as well as being forward-thinking and an excellent problem solver.

-The ability to effectively communicate with peers, clients, external consultants, and planning authorities in a fast-paced environment.

-The ability to work independently, managing your own time and workload to meet deadlines.

-Management skills and ability to mentor junior members of the team.

-A full UK driving licence and have access to a car.
