Taylor Wimpey

A mixed-use extension of 650 homes, local centre and offices to the west of Newton Abbot, located along the Ashburton Road and a key component of Teignbridge District Council’s wider growth strategy for the town.

Origin3 became involved in the delivery of this site following grant of outline planning permission secured by Commercial Estates Group in 2013. Origin3 worked with Taylor Wimpey and their project team to comply with site-wide planning conditions and secure the detailed reserved matters approval for 365 homes and a new roundabout on Ashburton Road. The project involved the use of a planning performance agreement and comprehensive negotiation with local planning authority officers to ensure a timely approval and commencement on-site. Origin3 remains involved in the site coordinating the pre-application process and public consultation of around 100 homes in Taylor Wimpey’s Phase 2 to the south of Ashburton Road.
